DESIGN DIRECTION AND STRATEGY
We begin by analyzing the project in detail and organizing initial design concepts to provide an overall view. We create the blueprint and establish timelines for the entire process. Once we’ve defined a strategy, we do collection curation by deconstructing and editing in terms of style, fit, and color. We break down every piece of the collection to ensure it’s marketable. We provide market research, trend reports and color forecast report presentation boards.
SOURCING
We help you find the materials that fit your brand’s vision and budget. With a carefully curated library of fabric swatches, trims, and packing, The Connecting Thread’s ethos is to be a responsible and conscious sourcing hub in Miami. We will browse high and low to secure the right match, pooling from our domestic and foreign production partners. If we don’t have it in our library, we will help you find it
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
We offer consultancy throughout the production cycle. Including tech pack development, digital pattern making, marking and grading, fit management, factory allocation, and costing. We oversee technical sketch, color story, pattern-making, grading, marking, digitizing, plotting, tech pack and spec’ing. As well as line sheet, fabric & trim sourcing. We arrange for fittings, samples, production coordination and management, and production cut and sew. We follow through with branding and brand evaluation. We also provide consultancy regarding purchasing, deliveries and brand merchandising.
